Day 18

“Aspen Grove”

Often called Quaking Aspens, they got their name from the leaves, which tremble in the slightest breeze because of their flat leaf stem.  During the fall of the year, it is so relaxing to just sit or lie down among an Aspen grove with the warm sun, making their yellow leaves glow, a nice breeze making them rustle and quake, almost making it sound like running water….begging you to just close your eyes and daydream or take a nap…..yep, done that more than once!

“God never made an ugly landscape. All that the sun shines on is beautiful, so long as it is wild.”

–John Muir
