Seeing the Light

Painting A Day

Day 20

“Seeing the Light”

“Keep close to Nature’s heart… and break clear away once in awhile and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.” –John Muir

This painting is based on another beautiful spot along the Big Thompson River.  Huge boulders fill the river here and make awesome places to climb and sit on—right in the middle of the river.  The coolness of the boulder, the sound of the rushing water, the warm, fall colors of the aspens and willows along the bank, the smell of water and fresh air…..all of it combined make up Mother Nature’s spa—the best spa there is!
